Oceana ResortA spectacular spa area is designed in a hotel complex featuring two towers which are connected by a glass aquarium bridge. The hotel will be situated at the stub of Jumeirah Palm and will feature the largest Thalasso spa in the Middle East. In addition, a spa club house will be designed directly at the beach. It will offer numerous innovative spa features.
Absolute highlight of the complex is the glass bridge connecting the two towers. The bridge itself features a large swimming pool with various special attractions such as underwater whirlpool beds, neck massage jets, foot reflexology massage jets, full body massage jets, as well as a separate water massage pool. In order to create some kind of aquarium effect, pictures of the ocean and its inhabitants and the underwater world are projected onto the glass. The images can be seen from inside and out. The central theme of the ocean is recurrent throughout the entire spa area.
The Spa Club House, which is situated directly at the beach, has a very inviting design featuring brightly coloured sailcloth to provide shade. The building includes two separate areas: The lower level comprises all beauty treatments, massages and several spa suites which attract attention with their individual design and perfect implementation of the ocean theme (Poseidon or Neptune Treatment Spa Suite). The sun deck has a magnificent view, which can be enjoyed while being pampered with a great variety of outdoor massages. In the Salt Dome visitors can choose from salt socks treatments, salt peelings, salt inhalations and salt baths.
Strategic and functional conception, profitability analysis, detailed planning of the interior architecture, spa equipment design and engineering, building services planning, project management, turn-key realisation of the spa
Our major challenge was that the indoor pool was too heavy to be held by the glass construction. So we developed an elaborate technological solution to reduce the pool`s weight using a stainless steel construction. This resulted in the creation of a unique swimming pool in vertiginous height.
